Android 13 support
The app now installs and runs on Android 13 (API 33). Before this release it needed Android 14. (#26, closes #4)
On Android 13 you turn the provider on with two commands and then restart the phone:
adb shell device_config put storage_native_boot allowed_cloud_providers codes.dreaming.cloudmedia.cloudmedia
adb shell device_config put mediaprovider allowed_cloud_providers codes.dreaming.cloudmedia
The setup screen and the Shizuku button run the same commands and remind you to restart.
Fixes
- Android 13 sync. The Android 13 picker sends no extras when it asks for the library info, and the app crashed on that, so every sync failed. The app now accepts it.
- Album names on Android 13. The Android 13 picker reads album columns by position, so albums showed their item count as their name. The columns are now in the order Android 13 expects. Newer pickers read columns by name and aren't affected.
Known limits on Android 13
People and smart search still need Android 16.
