Beads Viewer v0.25.1 fixes the shortcuts sidebar layout (GH #209), restores dashboard time travel on repositories with merged branches or a renamed tracker, and makes tracker-source selection, history and search more reliable. It also ships the September graph and timeline work listed under v0.25.1 in the changelog.
- Shortcuts sidebar (GH #209). With the sidebar open (
;), board, graph, insights, actionable, history, tree, label dashboard, attention, flow matrix and sprint views are now laid out beside it instead of being drawn full-width and wrapped into it. Help and pickers are drawn without the sidebar, and on a terminal too narrow for it the sidebar is hidden and the status line says why. - Dashboard time travel.
--export-pagescould skiphistory.json("timeline commit … missing from source history") after a branch that edited the tracker was merged, or after the tracker was renamed. The timeline now orders commits by their full Git ancestry. - Tracker selection. An explicit
BEADS_DB,BEADS_DIRor--dbdirectory is no longer outranked by an export in an unrelated worktree; a SQLite tracker with recent writes in its WAL counts as fresh;issues.jsonlwins ties with legacy names; cached validation is dropped when the source changes. - History and correlation. Output order is stable when one commit changes several beads, commit references keep full SHAs, and a deleted bead's history ends with its deletion.
- Search. Typing an exact issue ID always shows that issue.
- Agent files. Reading or updating
AGENTS.mdis bounded to 16 MiB, rejects a file that changes while being read, and no longer follows a symlink to an unrelated file. - Source installs report the Go version the build actually used.
- Graph and timeline dashboard work (September 14–16): exported layouts and metrics are reused, timeline playback follows recorded lifecycle events, and tree view, clipboard over SSH, Windows theme detection and duplicate detection are improved. See the changelog for details and measurements.
