- Playback settings → Folder Root opens Folder in a top-level card folder of your choice (e.g.
Music) instead of the card itself; Centre steps through the card's folders and back to Card. - Return still climbs from there to the card.
- System settings → Display → Hold Return: Home makes Hold Return go straight Home from any page; the default, Recent, keeps toggling between Now Playing and the page you came from.
- While a shuffle is on, pressing a song in the hold menu's Up Next plays it, and picking a song in View Queue no longer plays it again later in the same shuffle or drops the songs that were due before it.
- With
ALBUM_ARTIST=1in.scrobble.ini, songs played from Folder scrobble their album artist again instead of their artist. - When Folder opens straight into the card or its Folder Root, or Podcasts and Audiobooks open, a visit left inside a playlist or deep folder no longer leaves Back stepping through stale places.
- Less idle battery drain: a background thread no longer wakes once a second.
- Crossfade costs less CPU, with the same sound.
- The EQ skips bands that do nothing, so a band set high in the editor no longer costs far more than one set low.
- Spotify stops 2.5 minutes after you leave it unplayed, instead of running until power-off.
- Cover Flow sorts with large libraries are faster: album lookups use sorted searches instead of rescanning the whole list, and Rating and Random skip an album index they never use.
