This update adds the new transcription models released by OpenAI last week. GPT-4o-transcribe and GPT-4o-mini-transcribe both have a smaller word-error-rate and GPT-4o-mini-transcribe costs just half the price that Whisper has cost. 🙌
GPT-4o-mini-transcribe is selected by default now, but you can switch between these models at any time in the settings.
Furthermore, I implemented a new library for all connections to OpenAI like transcription and rewording. This will allow more flexibility like adding proxy-settings, which will be added in the upcoming updates. 💪
