SHATTERED v0.1.8 adds Classic Mode, a Silent Hill 4-style inventory, new zombies and a more dangerous Mr. X. Online play also feels more responsive, and this update includes a range of fixes.
What's New for Players
- Play Classic Mode, built on the original game's rules.
- Choose a new Silent Hill 4 inventory style. In co-op, each player picks their own.
- Turn on analog movement, set separately for each player.
- Face Mr. X with new movement and attacks.
- Meet new zombie appearances, including female researchers.
- Turn on soft shadows in the options.
- Enjoy more responsive movement when joining someone else's game.
Fixes
- Fewer situations where a Tyrant leaves you frozen in place.
- The opening with Barry and the first zombie now plays out correctly in single player.
- Fewer crashes during movies and door transitions.
- Various other fixes.
Experimental: Three or Four Players
Online sessions with more than two players are experimental. With three or four players, the campaign can be played up to the laboratories but cannot be completed yet. To play the complete campaign online, use a two-player session.
Installation
See the Installation Guide. No original Resident Evil game assets are included; you must provide your own legally obtained PC copy of Resident Evil 1.
