Edge-Drop v0.3.1 is all about making the app look significantly better and fixing the everyday quirks that got in your way. It brings a built-in Emoji Picker right into the top bar, cleaner borderless card designs with crisp bundled fonts, full URL visibility on link cards, and reliable fixes for duplicate captures, image categorization, and Windows autostart.

• Full Emoji Library: Click the smile icon in the top filter bar to open a full emoji picker. Browse categories, search recents, and pick your preferred skin tones.

A Better, Cleaner UI

• Redesigned Filter Buttons: Replaced the old rectangular tabs with clean circular category buttons (Recents, Text, Links, Images, Files) and a smooth white sliding pill that matches the deep charcoal tone of your cards.
• Sharper Fonts: Edge-Drop now bundles Plus Jakarta Sans and JetBrains Mono directly. Text, titles, and code snippets look clean and modern instead of falling back to default system fonts.
• Useful Card Details: Card footers now show practical info at a glance—file sizes (e.g. 78 MB), image dimensions, copy counts (×2, ×3), and timestamps positioned neatly on the right.
• Smoother Sheet Animation: The shelf now opens and closes with a natural, unified glide that feels like a native system sheet rather than a jumping pop-up window.
• Flat Settings Toggles: Replaced bulky switch controls with modern, flat toggles that animate smoothly with zero lag.

Cleaner Link Cards

• See the Real URL: Copied web links now display the full destination address right below the webpage title so you know where the link goes before clicking it.
• Accidental Paste Protection: Clicking outside a preview flyout or on empty shelf space closes it cleanly without accidentally pasting the link into whatever window you have open.

Sensible Copy Indicator

• Instant Desktop Feedback: When you copy something anywhere on your computer (Ctrl+C), Edge-Drop immediately shows a quick confirmation at your screen edge.
• Quiet Inside the Shelf: When you click the Copy button inside Edge-Drop, the edge indicator is muted so it doesn't flash an unnecessary popup over the panel you are already using.

Clipboard & File Fixes

• No More Double Copies: Fixed an issue where copying from Windows Explorer or spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) could capture the same item twice.
• Images Go to Images: Image files copied from Windows Explorer now go directly into the Images tab instead of cluttering your Files tab.
• Live Timestamps: Card timestamps now update every 5 seconds while the shelf is open, naturally aging from "just now" to "1m", "5m", and beyond without needing to click around.

Windows Integration & Startup Fixes

• Reliable Launch at Login: Fixed Windows autostart for usernames or folders with spaces (e.g. C:\Users\John Doe\...). Edge-Drop now reliably starts with Windows and automatically repairs existing startup entries on first run.
• Taskbar Visibility: The system tray icon now automatically stays clearly visible whether your Windows taskbar is dark or light.
• Live Update Progress: When an update is downloading, you'll see a live percentage right inside the app, followed by a single-click "Restart to Update" button when it's done.

Complete 31-Language Translations

• 100% Translated: Every screen, button, setting, and notification—including the new emoji picker and language selector—is fully translated across all 31 supported languages with native Right-to-Left (RTL) support for Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian.

Installation & Upgrades

Windows Package Installer (GitHub Release)

1. Download Edge-Drop-Setup-0.3.1.exe from the Assets section below.
2. Run the installer. If you are updating from an existing version, your preferences, pinned items, and history will be preserved.
3. Edge-Drop will launch minimized to the tray. Move your cursor to the designated screen edge (or press Alt+C) to open your shelf.

Microsoft Store Version

Users running the Microsoft Store package will receive this update automatically via Windows Store background updates.
