Fixed

  • A day passing put almost nothing back. A phone contact handed over its daily item once per save, a rematch offer never expired, the Bug Catching Contest closed for good after one entry, and the Dunsparce and Yanma swarms never ended. Forty-four of Crystal's daily flags are cleared at the day boundary now, where three were.
  • Strength lasted the rest of the game once it had been used. It ends with the map the boulder was pushed on, which is where the cartridge ends it.
  • A boulder could fall through a hole named by a different map's table, because a written command queue outlived the map that wrote it.
  • The Hall of Fame's player panel printed neither the trainer ID nor PLAY TIME and drew no picture, and no panel played the Pokemon's cry. An induction runs on its own timer instead of waiting for A on every panel.
  • The trainer card kept its #DEX label on screen for a player who has no Pokedex yet.
  • A held direction steered an ice slide. The cartridge drops the whole d-pad for the length of one.
  • Nothing bumped. Every refused step in the game was silent, on land, on water and on ice.
  • A step off an ice tile ran at walking speed, and a sliding player walked instead of standing still on the ice.
  • The naming screen drew no icon: no species, no player, no Poke Ball, and no gender sign beside a nickname.
  • The decoration menu lost CANCEL at six owned ornaments, and talking to one doll printed every box after it as well.

api_version stays 29 and nothing on the boundary moved.

Which file

You have Download

Windows on a Snapdragon or Surface Pro X pokerecomp-0.1.20-windows-arm64.exe
A Mac pokerecomp-0.1.20-macos.zip
Linux on a desktop or laptop pokerecomp-0.1.20-linux-x86_64
Linux on a Raspberry Pi, an SBC or an arm64 handheld pokerecomp-0.1.20-linux-arm64

A Nintendo Switch running homebrew pokerecomp-0.1.20-switch.zip

Every download is one file. sha256sums.txt covers all of them.

First launch

  • Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, because the build is not signed by a paid certificate. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  • macOS: the app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so double-clicking it is refused. Right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. Only the first launch needs this.
  • Linux: chmod +x pokerecomp-0.1.20-linux-x86_64 and run it.
  • Android: your phone will ask you to allow installing from this source.
  • iOS: the .ipa is deliberately unsigned. Install it with AltStore or SideStore, which sign it on your own machine with your own Apple ID. A free Apple ID works; apps signed that way need re-signing every 7 days. Add pokerecomp's source once, in Sources > +, and every later release shows up as an update: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Decryptu/pokerecomp/main/.github/altstore/source.json
  • Switch: extract the zip at the root of your microSD, so the file lands at switch/pokerecomp.nro, and launch pokerecomp from the homebrew menu. It needs a console that already runs homebrew; nothing here installs one.

Updating

The launcher's about page tells you when a newer release exists. It does not install it: download the new file and replace the old one. Your saves are kept separately and survive it, on every platform.
