Nuvio Reshaped TV tester build
A test build for people helping to find bugs before changes reach Beta. Expect things to break.
Highlights
- Low-memory 1080p playback can use an available matching 720p SDR H.264 copy when the smaller-copy setting is enabled. Source metadata and actual file headers are checked, followed by the existing timing, edition and picture verification.
- Original and copy previews share one native decoding slot on small devices, recheck memory before decoding, and release decoder memory between turns. Foreground seeking also respects playback pacing while the movie plays.
- Completed thumbnails remain on disk across the movie after RAM is cleared. Low-memory devices keep smaller decoded-image caches and encode new thumbnails once at WebP quality 70; slots sharing a keyframe share one encoded image.
- Coverage is only marked complete when every planned slot is saved. A 97% count can no longer hide a missing section. Superseded pending images skip unnecessary encoding and disk appends.
- Existing playback, memory, rate-limit and 4K protections remain active. No complete movie download or forced swap use is added.
Commits
- Use bounded 720p copies and durable whole-movie previews on low-memory TVs
