Nuvio Reshaped TV tester build
A test build for people helping to find bugs before changes reach Beta. Expect things to break.
Highlights
- Newly generated seek previews can appear before image compression and disk writes finish. Persistence is bounded to one outstanding image to control memory use.
- Preview generation prioritizes the current seek direction and nearby filmstrip frames. Continuous scrubbing briefly settles before starting new work; cached images remain immediate.
- Original-stream and smaller-copy preview generation now share work pacing that responds to playback buffer drain and dropped frames.
- Low-memory TVs prefer suitable 720p copies and use smaller preview images, while preserving source compatibility checks and existing network, memory and 4K decode limits.
- Cached aliases share bitmap memory safely, including when an image is replaced. Delayed writes cannot overwrite a newer image.
- Preview sessions finish their owned jobs before handing over, and completed-cache markers require durable images and index data.
Commits
- Fix seamless automatic source recovery on tester
- Improve detached seek-preview latency and resource scheduling
- Require durable preview coverage before writing completion markers
