Nuvio Reshaped TV tester build
A test build for people helping to find bugs before changes reach Beta. Expect things to break.
Highlights
- Includes Nuvio Reshaped → Automatically try another source (off by default), using First Source or Regex autoplay: a 15-second limit per source, up to three attempts and a 45-second overall budget. Retries follow ranked-regex priority or normal First Source order, preserving addon/plugin filters and excluding previously attempted files. Manual seeking cancels recovery. The tester release runs recovery and autoplay-selector tests alongside preview tests.
- Backward filmstrip frames are looked up by actual frame time, avoiding repeated-slot gaps and skipping duplicate keyframes. Generated previews refresh as the seek target moves instead of staying cached across a wide cue window.
- A missing or nearby generated frame can no longer pull a single-tap seek back to its old timestamp. Taps keep moving in the requested direction, including at the start and end of a title.
- Preview generation can recover from late player readiness and transient native-runtime loading failures without blocking playback. A full but deliberately small playback buffer no longer leaves background generation waiting for unreachable buffer thresholds. Optional preparation remains off by default.
- On low-RAM TVs, original generation is limited to one decoder, one range fetch and two raw buffers, with a 4 MB image cache. Large playback-tap copies and full saved-file preloading are reduced, and decoder headroom checks are more conservative for high-bitrate movies. Unknown or changed resolutions cannot enter the wrong decoding tier.
- Added a bounded Seek preview diagnostics report to the existing phone QR log page. On Android 11 or later it also includes recent app exit reasons and memory measurements, helping distinguish low-memory exits from Java or native crashes.
- Startup, memory/concurrency and native checks are included in tester validation. Physical-device testing is still required for the reported blank previews and high-bitrate crash.
