[1.86.0] - 2026-10-09

  • ADDED: The Discovery page shows a run started through the MCP server or by the watchdog while the page is open, and its history marks such runs - the run appears within five seconds, the history refreshes when it ends, and its history rows read "via MCP" or "via watchdog" under the time of the run.
  • ADDED: Copy JSON in Discovery's Apply as a set dialog copies the proposed set without creating it - in the format of the set editor's Import/Export tab, where it can be imported on another device.
  • ADDED: System Info shows the version of each tool it lists, such as iptables, nft, ipset, curl and wget, next to the tool's name - the version is what the tool itself reports, or the BusyBox version for a tool that is part of BusyBox, and Copy JSON and MCP b4_diagnostics include it as version.
  • ADDED: A set can write its own DSCP value into the packets sent to the set's addresses, so a router in front of b4 can route or prioritise each set's traffic separately - the value takes the place of the Set DSCP value for those packets, also while that switch is off, and covers the set's IP, GeoIP and ASN targets and the addresses b4 learns for the set's domains. The switch is under DNS & Routing, Traffic Routing in the set editor, which also shows when a set cannot use it, such as a proxy or block set.
  • ADDED: The browser tab title names the open page, such as "Traffic - B4", so several b4 tabs can be told apart, where every tab used to read "B4" - the set editor adds the set's name, as in "YouTube - Sets - B4", and Settings adds its open tab.
  • ADDED: The Devices panel on the Traffic page sorts by name by default, or by latest activity or packet count through its sort button, where devices used to swap places whenever one of them sent a packet - by name, devices with a name come first, then devices known only by their MAC address, then sources known only by their IP address, and a selected device stays in the panel after its last packet has fallen out of the period.
  • CHANGED: A device on the dashboard's Blocked panel shows its IP address under its name, with the MAC address on hover - the MAC address used to take that line.
  • CHANGED: The dashboard arranges its panels in rows that always fill the full width, each panel as tall as the tallest one in its row, where panels used to be packed into free spots, which left holes and moved them sideways as lists grew - in Customize, the border between two panels and the minus and plus buttons move width between neighbours, a panel dropped on another joins its row, one dropped between rows gets a row of its own, and the row button splits or joins rows.
  • FIXED: Discovery tried every strategy for minutes on a link that gives an error even without b4, such as the bare address of an image host, then reported that nothing worked, as if the site were blocked - when the site answered "bad request", Discovery blamed a strategy for garbling the request, even on the first try, which uses no strategy.
  • FIXED: Discovery started through the MCP server did worse than the same run from the Discovery page: a link such as a YouTube image link failed with an error on every attempt, and the community hub's strategies were never tried - the server cut the link at a comma inside it, took the rest for a second site and lowercased its path, so the site was asked for a page that does not exist, and it left the hub out of the run.
  • FIXED: On Keenetic, b4 was sometimes not running after a router reboot, with no errors.log, and could also stop when it restarted itself to retry its packet engine - the hook b4 installs for the router's firewall rebuilds sent its re-check signal to any process named b4, and a b4 that had only just started was ended by that signal. #404
