[1.85.1] - 2026-10-08
- FIXED: On routers with an older kernel, such as Keenetic, a device that asked for a name's IPv4 and IPv6 addresses at once often got no answer to the second question, so apps on it, like a video player on a TV, waited and never connected, and the router's own lookups could stall for seconds - b4 queued each DNS query only after the kernel's connection tracking had registered it, so a second query sent at the same moment from the same socket was dropped as a duplicate of the first while that one waited in b4's queue.
- CHANGED: With iptables, other services' firewall rules for DNS queries, such as an Xray TPROXY rule or mwan3 and KVAS marks, also apply to the queries b4 has already seen - b4 queues the queries from the raw table, ahead of those rules, where before a query released from its queue skipped the later rules of mangle.
