Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.4.7
A new look for the menus, made from the game's own buttons, and fixes for Linux, the Haybot, the Walk Button and raphnet adapters.
Downloads
- Windows:
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.4.7-Windows.zip. Unzip it and runConkerBFDReloaded.exe. - Linux (experimental):
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.4.7-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run
./ConkerBFDReloaded. Needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer and similar), Vulkan, SDL2,
GTK 3 and FreeType. - HD Icons texture pack (optional):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-v1.3.3.rtz(same as before).
Textures by GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0. - HD Icons (French) texture pack (optional, for the French translation):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-French-v1.3.5.rtz(same as before).
You need your own US ROM of the game. Your saves and settings carry over.
New
- The menus use the game's own buttons: the launcher, the settings' tabs, choices and buttons are the steel
pill rings of Conker's save and pause menus (from the HD textures). As in the game, the one that's chosen or
pointed at lights up, its letters glowing green, instead of filling with colour. The settings' sliders and
switches are the same green. - Ledge Grab: press B to let go while hanging (thanks to Vmarcelo49).
Fixes
- Linux: closing the game no longer freezes and crashes (#40; since 1.4.6, also on the Steam Deck). Thanks to
Vmarcelo49 for the fix. - The Haybot's red view reaches the window's left edge too (#37): a thin strip there wasn't tinted.
- Walking slowly with the Walk Button (L) no longer stutters on the barn's straw and similar ground (#38).
- raphnet N64 adapters (289b:0061): the button layout is written in the order that works with them (#30).
Experimental
- The Linux exit fix and the raphnet layout weren't tested here (no Linux PC or adapter): feedback welcome.
- Linux is tested on Windows and in a Linux test setup, not on a real Linux PC or a Steam Deck yet.
- Still from before: Photo Mode is experimental, Move While Shooting is the shotgun only, Ledge Grab can
sometimes catch an edge that isn't really a ledge, the German translation is tested with the intro and
the speech bubbles, the Russian one is recognised but untested, and the HD Icons (French) pack is
incomplete.
