Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.4.6
Two fixes: the free camera looking up, and a clear message for ROMs patched the wrong way.
Downloads
- Windows:
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.4.6-Windows.zip. Unzip it and runConkerBFDReloaded.exe. - Linux (experimental):
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.4.6-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run
./ConkerBFDReloaded. Needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer and similar), Vulkan, SDL2,
GTK 3 and FreeType. - HD Icons texture pack (optional):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-v1.3.3.rtz(same as before).
Textures by GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0. - HD Icons (French) texture pack (optional, for the French translation):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-French-v1.3.5.rtz(same as before).
You need your own US ROM of the game. Your saves and settings carry over.
Fixes
- Looking up with the free camera no longer turns the picture black (#35). Tilted up from low, the
view looked up but the game still drew for where the camera faced before, so much of the picture
was missing. - A ROM patched in the wrong byte order is turned down with a message, instead of the game
crashing as it starts (#31). Translation patches are made for.z64ROMs: applied to a byte-swapped
.v64or.n64copy of the US ROM, they come out scrambled. Convert your US ROM to.z64first,
then apply the patch.
Experimental
- The wrong-byte-order check (#31) comes from recreating the reporter's crash here; the check and its
message haven't been tried in the launcher yet. - Linux is tested on Windows and in a Linux test setup, not on a real Linux PC or a Steam Deck yet.
- Still from before: Photo Mode is experimental, Move While Shooting is the shotgun only, Ledge Grab can
sometimes catch an edge that isn't really a ledge, the German translation is tested with the intro and
the speech bubbles, the Russian one is recognised but untested, and the HD Icons (French) pack is
incomplete.
