KytyPlus v3.4 Release Notes
Overview
v3.4 fixes a critical packaging bug where the shadPS4 backend wasn't bundled into the release, and hardens the game-loading path so real commercial content can actually boot. This release includes the first verified licensed-content boot on the shadPS4 delegation path.
Changes
🐛 Critical fix — shadPS4 backend bundled
- Fixed: shadPS4 backend was not included in the release, breaking the PS4 delegation path entirely. The shadPS4 runtime is now correctly bundled so PS4 titles can be dispatched and executed.
- Result: the PS4 delegation path is fully operational again and verified against real content..
Known Limitations
- "Install Package (.pkg)" may fail for some games — titles can be unrunnable from the
.pkginstall and must instead be extracted manually and loaded viaeboot.bin. This includes licensed (signed) PS4 content — homebrew/unofficial packages install fine, but licensed titles generally require the extraction path. Root cause (installer/registration of signed packages) is under investigation.
Setting up your path
To run your legally obtained PS4 games:
- Download and extract the release, then run
launcher.exe. - Run your game through launcher.exe — on first run, shadPS4 should create its folder automatically (its data directory with a
sys_modulessubfolder). - Wait for that folder to appear, then place your legally dumped
sys_modulesfiles into the folder namedsys_modules. - Load the game again through launcher.exe. If the
.pkginstall fails, use the extraction path: complete the game folder (including requiredsce_modulePRX files) and loadeboot.bindirectly.
KytyPlus does not ship or download firmware, dumps, or
sys_modules. Use only files you have obtained legally.
