This release is mainly about tweaking some stuff introduced in the last update, let's get to the changelog though!
The minimal input style received some tweaks:
- When editing a message, the input field will receive an editing tag, just like how it is in the LastChat input style.
- When opening the file picker menu, the model icon won't change to the folder icon anymore.
- If the model doesn't support reasoning, the reasoning setting will disappear from the file picker menu.
- You can now paste images from the clipboard directly into the text field.
Assistants got renamed to Characters!
- You can now export characters out of LastChat into different formats: Character Card V2 (.json), Character Card V2 (.png) and LastChat Bundle (.json).
- When exporting characters through the LastChat format, you can choose if you want to bundle memories or lorebooks along with the character. This allows you to share characters along with all the knowledge that makes them themselves.
- Importing characters got easier too! LastChat will automatically recognize what format you are trying to import and handle the file accordingly.
And here are some more tweaks that come with this update:
- Icons fetched automatically from lobehub should load faster after the first time now.
- Slightly changed the look of tool calls in chat.
- Custom prompts for android integrations should work now.
- Fixed an issue where characters without memories wouldn't have access to memory saving/editing/deleting tools.
