Decky Manager 2.0 - Beta

This release brings a major redesign and expansion of Decky File Manager, turning it into a more complete file management environment for Gaming Mode.

What's New

Dual-Panel File Manager

• Added a dual-panel file manager interface.
• Browse and manage files between two directories simultaneously.
• Improved navigation and file organization.
• Added support for selecting which panel is active.

Background File Operations

• File operations can now continue in the background.
• Added operation progress tracking.
• Improved handling of long-running file transfers.

Copy, Cut, Paste and Extract

• Added persistent copy and cut state.
• Added paste conflict detection.
• Improved file transfer handling between different drives and filesystems.
• Fixed .rar files not extracting.

Storage and Drive Management

• Added drive selection and storage sessions.
• Added support for navigating between available storage locations.
• Added drive information and available space display.
• Added support for detecting unmounted drives.
• Improved storage navigation inside Gaming Mode.

Text Editor

• Added a built-in text editor.
• Open and edit text files directly from Gaming Mode.
• Save changes without leaving the plugin.

Steam Shortcuts

• Added the ability to add files as Steam shortcuts.
• Allows selected files to be accessed directly through the Steam interface.
• The shortcut can be added by plugin panel or in the file manager on context menu.

File Management

• Improved file and folder operations.
• Improved file properties support.
• Improved file selection and file picker functionality.
• Added "Explore local files" on manage session in shortcuts, like in the desktop mode.

Controller Navigation

• Fixed focus escaping the plugin when QAM or Steam Menu is visible.
• Improved focus handling between menus, panels and dialogs.

Interface

• Improved overall layout and spacing.
• Improved menus and contextual actions.
• Added improved panel navigation.
• Improved visual feedback for file operations.
• Better integration with the Gaming Mode interface.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed multiple navigation and focus issues.
• Improved stability of file operations.
• Improved general plugin stability and performance.

• Some features are still under development, including deeper Steam integration and privileged operations.
