ClearPDF v1.1.0 — Full PDF Editor Overhaul
ClearPDF grows from a viewer into a real, offline-first PDF editor. Everything runs
on-device — no cloud, no accounts. (On-device Google ML Kit powers the scanner and text
selection only.)
✨ Highlights
Viewer & gestures
- Rewritten zoom & pan — smooth Adobe-style focal-point pinch-zoom, correct
pan bounds, and snappy double-tap. Annotations and text selection now stay perfectly
aligned at any zoom level. - Fixed page rendering crashes/corruption caused by concurrent page rendering.
Editing tools
- Reworked draw tools — pressure-smooth pen strokes, a proper freehand
highlighter, a stroke-size selector (S/M/L/XL), and an eraser that removes
any single mark. - Add Image — drop a photo onto any page, then drag to move and drag the corner
to resize. It's baked into the saved PDF at full quality. - Annotations export cleanly via Save Edits.
Organize pages
- Drag-and-drop reordering (no more up/down arrows).
- Multi-select: tap to select several pages, then drag the whole group at once.
- Floating drag preview, insertion indicator, edge auto-scroll, plus bulk
rotate / delete / select-all.
New tools
- Images → PDF — combine photos into a PDF (fit-to-A4 or original size).
- Extract Text — pull selectable text out of a PDF to copy or share.
Engine quality
- Lossless merge / split / extract / organize powered by PdfBox-Android — your
text and vectors are preserved instead of being flattened to blurry images, so output
files stay small and sharp.
