• iPhone Duo in the iOS 27.1 SDK – The iPhone Duo APIs from Apple’s tech talks now appear as compiling code for the iOS 27.1 SDK, each gated with @available(iOS 27.1, *) beside its pre-27.1 path. The change covers iphone-duo (vertical bars, reserved regions, arrangements, the hinge and the scene accessories, including UIKit’s camera-capture accessory) and camera-capture-ref (the two front cameras and choosing a camera by the direction it faces).
• Temporary allocations – swift-performance now covers withTemporaryAllocation, which hands its closure an OutputSpan instead of a raw buffer pointer. It arrives with Xcode 27.1 and back-deploys to earlier OS versions.

• Camera mirroring on iPhone Duo – Mirroring follows the direction a camera faces, so an app overrides automatic preview mirroring only when that direction and the camera’s position disagree.
• iPhone Duo multitasking – Explains that supportsMultipleWindows reflects the scene manifest rather than the display, reading true on both displays once the manifest opts in, and that each Split View half reports compact width with its vertical bar on its outer edge. The change covers iphone-duo, swiftui-layout, app-composition and resize-auditor.
• Seven skill suites – Updated to match the iOS 27 SDKs and simulators:
  • axiom-integration – StoreKit and App Intents APIs, push notifications, widget and Live Activity updates, background tasks, privacy-manifest reason codes and Apple-hosted asset packs
  • axiom-data – Adding a foreign key by rebuilding a table while keeping every row, SwiftData to-one relationships that leave the parent in place when a child is deleted, saving when storage runs low, and tvOS storage
  • axiom-media – Microphone and USB audio sample rates, Now Playing artwork handlers that MediaPlayer calls off the main thread, ShazamKit signatures, CarPlay app categories (including video apps in iOS 27) and the interruption checks in camera-auditor
  • axiom-swiftui – Reading Self._printChanges() output, animating a changing number, safe-area padding in scroll views, search field placement and the searches its auditors run
  • axiom-swift – tvOS storage, the first-run simctl openurl confirmation in deep-link tests, Transferable imports, and ownership with consume, borrowing and discard self
  • axiom-testing – What confirmation checks and when, and Dark Mode tests set through the simulator’s appearance
  • axiom-concurrency – Testing main-actor code with Swift Testing, and when an async function runs on its caller’s actor
• Crash Reporter extensions – Covers setting one up from Xcode’s Crash Reporter Extension template, and where one runs: iOS, macOS and visionOS 27, but not tvOS, watchOS or Mac Catalyst.

Fixed

• Project detection – Axiom now stays out of a non-Apple workspace inside the system’s temporary folder, even when another tool has left a Swift file in that folder. This applies to Axiom’s hooks and to Pi.

Changed

• Claude Code context – Axiom adds about 60% less context to every Claude Code session, because each agent is now listed by its one-sentence trigger.
