Updated
- Size classes in resizable windows – An iPhone app in iPhone Mirroring, or running on iPad as an iPhone-only app, keeps the
.phoneidiom but reports regular size classes once its window is wide enough, and its popovers present as popovers when both size classes are regular. Choose between sheet and popover by adaptation rather than idiom, and readisTabViewSidebarAvailable(iOS 27) when UI depends on a visible sidebar, since regular width doesn’t guarantee one and forcing.regularhides a sidebar-adaptable tab view’s tabs in a narrow window. The change coversswiftui-layout,swiftui-layout-refandswiftui-presentations. - Bars over scrolling content –
liquid-glass-auditornow flags custom bars pinned over aListorScrollViewwith.overlay, aZStackor.safeAreaInset, and recommendssafeAreaBar(edge:), which insets the content and extends the scroll edge effect. Ordinary actions belong in a.bottomBartoolbar item and mini players in.tabViewBottomAccessory. - iPhone Duo layout – Apple hasn’t said which size class one half of Split View reports, so make a half’s layout work at both. For custom grids, keep the outer margins, widen the gap at the fold and prefer an even column count, finding the fold with the region query announced for iOS 27.1. The change covers
iphone-duoandswiftui-layout.
