• Borrowing iteration – ownership-conventions now covers Swift 6.4’s Iterable, which loops over Span, InlineArray, UniqueArray and the other ownership containers with for-in without copying them, and needs no experimental flag in Xcode 27 beta 6. Array, Set and Dictionary don’t conform, so they stay with Sequence.
• Wallet pass archives – wallet-passes-ref now covers iOS and visionOS 27’s addPasses(fromArchiveAt:completion:) and its companions, which hand Wallet a .pkpasses archive or raw .pkpass data without building PKPass values first. It also covers the matching PKAddPassesViewController initializers, for when Wallet asks the user to review the passes.
• CarPlay navigation – carplay-navigation-ref now covers iOS 27’s additions to CPNavigationSession: route sharing (the vehicle using the app’s route for its own features), resuming guidance with a replacement trip and a reroute reason, and an options panel during guidance. It also covers avatar navigation alerts with an array of actions, presented with present(navigationAlert:animated:), and the shorter name and address variants a waypoint can offer.

• Xcode MCP server – Updated coverage for Xcode 27 beta 6: every tool addressed by workspaceIdentifier, all 54 tools listed with no workspace open, and the error an unapproved agent now receives, which explains that opening or creating a project requests approval. The change covers xcode-mcp-setup, xcode-mcp-tools and xcode-mcp-ref.
• Cancellation shields – Explains that a shield masks cancellation rather than only stopping throws: inside one, Task.isCancelled reads false, so a while !Task.isCancelled loop never exits. It also covers the synchronous withTaskCancellationShield and hasActiveCancellationShield, which reports whether the current task has installed a shield.
• SwiftUI data detection – Updated to follow the beta 6 SDK: .dataDetection(_:options:) is available on iOS, watchOS and visionOS 27, and unavailable on macOS, Mac Catalyst and tvOS.
• CryptoKit unauthenticated primitives – Removed from cryptokit-ref, following the beta 6 SDK, which no longer includes them.
