Hi everyone,
after somewhat rushing the initial release for this (last?) year, @flloschy and I took our time to iron out some bugs, bring the statistics more on-par with last year's Rewind, and enhance the generation and viewing experience in several areas.
Here are some highlights:
- Non-admin user accounts are now handled gracefully
- Since the Playback Reporting plugin data can't be accessed by non-admins anymore, Jellyfin Rewind will fall back to sourcing stats from Jellyfin in that case (which are worse). But:
- Added optional secondary admin login
- If you're logged in with a non-admin account, Jellyfin Rewind will now prompt you to log in with an admin account in addition to your regular account. The admin login is then used to authenticate against the server, enabling access to the Playback Reporting data, while still generating the stats for your regular account. You should be prompted automatically.
- Fixed "Unknown Artist" or completely missing strings
- Fixed timeouts, especially when generating from a Jellyfin 10**.11** server. Generation is still slow due to server performance issues for larger music libraries, but it should complete now, even if it takes a few minutes.
- Improved the "Til the End" feature
- Improved some dialog contents
