  • Proton (SLR and Native)
    • Bugfix release based on cachyos-11.0-20260601-slr
    • Imported some winewayland.drv fixes from Proton-EM for color management and mouse pointer handling. Thanks to @Etaash-mathamsetty. Issue: #225
    • Removed winex11-Fixed-scancodes patch-set which was applied in the previous version as it caused a few issues with keyboard keys not working and fixing it requires winecfg. Issue: #223
    • Reverted the patch that allowed executables to be dynamically relocated too. It was included to fix some FFXIV modding tools but it broke the NIKKE installer and caused peformance issues with modded Fallout 4. Issue: #227
    • Updated Vulkan detection to fallback to dxvk-sarek for GPUs that advertise Vulkan 1.3 but do not support descriptorIndexing, for example Intel HD Graphics 5500 (BDW GT2). Thanks to @CommandMC
    • Updated protonfixes and added a patch to fix #219
  • Proton (SLR specific)
    • None
  • Proton (Native specific)
    • None
  • Wine (Standalone)
    • None

Caution

For CachyOS and AUR users only.
This version will also change how Proton-CachyOS is packaged in the CachyOS repository and the AUR to ultimately make things clearer in the future. It is uncertain if the host-native build will work with the future SteamRT3 Steam client, so in preparation some things should be re-organized.

  • The proton-cachyos package which installs the host-native version will be removed. For the AUR it could become a meta-package that installs proton-cachyos-native.
  • The proton-cachyos-slr package will remain as is, and it will provide the proton-cachyos package.
  • The renamed proton-cachyos-native will provide the same host-native build as the removed proton-cachyos. This means that if you have proton-cachyos package installed, it will be removed and replaced by proton-cachyos-native.

Important

I know that we have a lot of different packages that might cause confusion. My suggestion is to be conservative and use x86_64.
Feel free to experiment and see which fits better for your system, of course.
