- Keys in the cascade renamed to Cascade Keybindings (Controls -> Mouse &
keyboard) - Any modifier combination can be bound. The five lists used to take a bare
key or Shift plus a key; Ctrl, Alt and Win now count for as much, alone or
in any combination, so Ctrl+W can close the window under the pointer and
Alt+Q can cancel the cascade - Mouse buttons are bindable too: left, right, middle and the two side
buttons, on their own or under modifiers. The pointer's own bindings
(pick / close / drag) are consulted first, so a button already set to one
of those keeps doing exactly that - Escape and Enter can be rebound. The picker used to hold both back because
they were how the dialog itself was cancelled and accepted, which left the
cascade's two most obvious keys as the only ones nobody could move. The
Cancel button is the way out now, so every key is recordable - A modifier on its own (Ctrl, Win) is the one thing that cannot be an
entry: the cascade answers modifier keys before it consults any binding,
so such an entry could only ever look bound - The Search warning now concerns only bindings with no modifier. Anything
held with a key is a combination reached for deliberately, not a character
that could go missing from a query - Each list holds five keys rather than seven. The whole list reaches the
core as one indivisible value so a keystroke can never meet it
half-updated, and full modifier masks cost room inside it. Lists ship with
three; a configuration carrying six or seven keeps them on the page, but
only the first five act - Commit is Confirm throughout the interface: the card, the dialog that
records the key, and Confirm gesture on the Touchpad page. Nothing changes
