1.6V | Improvements & optimization
- Keys in the cascade (Controls -> Mouse & keyboard) — next window, previous
window, commit, cancel and close-window are editable LISTS now instead of one
key each: press a key to add it, switch off to disable without losing it,
or remove it outright - Tab and Shift+Tab are ordinary entries on those lists, no longer welded to
the key that opens the cascade - The keyboard-navigation and close-key switches are gone — an empty list says
exactly what they said. Existing configurations migrate on first read - Touchpad activation, cycle and commit gestures are lists too, with the same
add / park / remove row as the keys - Gesture Chaining (Controls -> Touchpad gestures, default off) — one motion can
open the cascade and walk through it in one move. - Create launch shortcut (General -> Startup) — a desktop shortcut that OPENS
the 3D cascade. Served by a new CKFlip3D.Launch.exe. - Performance: a quarter of the frame's GPU draw work removed (opaque clear
instead of a full-screen dim quad, 368 -> 274 us), quad draws send only what
changed, and camera matrices are built once a frame instead of once per tile - Window icons are no longer resolved on the render thread — worst frame in an
ordinary cycling session 83 -> 21 ms - Touchpad scrolling in Settings corrected to avoid oversensitivity.
- A stray sample the other way no longer throws the page backwards mid-stroke:
a reversal now has to clear a full notch and hold,
which costs a deliberate reversal about 20 ms to avoid the twitching. - Major amount of hints rewritten. The paragraphs under settings were
rewritten to be more accurate, easier to understand, and more consistent. - The Customize... dropdowns under Selected window label and Animations
now close with the feature they belong to, instead of staying on screen
over a feature that is no longer there. - Restore defaults on Controls resets the whole category now, including all
five key lists and every touchpad gesture setting. - Fixed: dismissing the cascade no longer flashes a desktop with its icons
missing — CKFlip3D no longer hides the shell's icon list at all.
