Lau Setup 1.1.0 adds Linux Wine support and the release site's W-and-shield application/window icon. The brighter Windows installer styling is retained, and Wine uses available fonts with readable option labels.
- Windows: download
LauSetup.exe. Requires .NET Framework 4.8; setup offers Microsoft's official download page if it is missing. - Linux/Wine: download and extract
LauSetup-Wine.zip, then follow its README. Requires Wine 11.0, Wine Mono 10.4.1, a 64-bit prefix, Python 3.9+, and local Linux storage. Run through the supplied shell launcher as your normal user. - The Wine launcher checks Linux paths, other WoW processes, free space and installer locks across prefixes. Automatic backups and interrupted-operation recovery remain available.
Runtime installers are not bundled. The installer interface remains English; game content supports all nine existing locales. This release does not add Lutris, Proton or macOS integration.
Validation: 38 regression groups on each platform, including 108 fixture install/restore combinations per platform; 15 native helper tests; eight Wine safety cases; two low-space rejection tests; anonymous GitHub core download/install/rollback; final-code installation/rollback with verified payload bytes; and normal-user package launch with sampled GUI inspection. See VALIDATION.json for limits. Wine checks use isolated Wine 11.0 / Wine Mono 10.4.1 clients and do not certify every Linux system.
Game payloads remain unchanged from Lau 3.0.4. This is an upgrade for an existing WoW 3.3.5a build 12340 client, not a full client. Personal addons, settings, fonts and login artwork are preserved. New Google Drive raw-file uploads remain deferred.
DBC history since the Andre handoff
The retained multilingual Patch-Y baseline adds Spell.dbc, fifteen visual links per edition, indicator visual/kit/attachment records and localized spell text.
Andre intentionally omitted Spell.dbc because of localization conflicts (six other visual/model DBCs were present). The initial Lau addition exposed the language dependency. Lau and Andre debugged it together, and the multilingual rebuild resolved the text compatibility issue.
Lau identifies the development milestones as 3.0.4: initial addition, 3.0.5: multilingual fix, and 3.0.6–3.0.8: hotfixes with version bumps. Retained published artifacts use overlapping early labels: the archived 3.0.4 baseline already includes the multilingual fix. The audit therefore separates development history from exact archive comparisons.
Individual table/record/field edits, old/new values and baseline evidence · DBC changelog. The historical field audit covers Patch-Y; separate Q/S/map pipelines and experimental builds are not silently attributed to these edits.
