New features
Room-scale walking: walk around your room and you move in the game too. Walls stop you, and leaning stays leaning. Turn it on in the launcher: Settings > Controls > Movement.
Head-based movement: the left stick moves you where you’re looking instead of where your body faces. Set it with “Walking direction” in the same menu.
VR runtime check: Far Cry 2 is a 32-bit game, so it needs an OpenXR runtime that supports 32-bit apps. The launcher’s Overview page now tells you whether yours does, and lets you pick a different one just for this game. This fixes “the game runs on my monitor but the headset stays black,” for example with Pimax’s own runtime. Virtual Desktop and SteamVR 2.17 or newer work.
Improvements
Tracking improvements contributed by phunkaeg: eyes, hands, scope and flashlight now all use one shared camera position, and the height setting no longer tilts the view.
The view and hands now stay in sync with the player’s body on the same frame.
