Veritas Kanban v5.2.5

v5.2.5 makes the desktop upgrade path safe and explicit for operators whose data is already in the packaged SQLite workspace.

Highlights

  • Startup, setup, password, recovery, loading, and login surfaces are draggable while controls remain clickable.
  • Setup detects populated desktop SQLite data, recommends Use Existing Data, and shows representative counts before password setup.
  • Secure Existing Data protects the existing database without reimporting or replacing board rows or migrated ownership metadata.
  • The web/source-to-Mac migration runbook now covers stopped-writer backups, isolated staging, authenticated helper cutover, rollback, duplicate IDs, and missing attachments.
  • Provider runtime contracts, SQLite journal safety, concurrency fixes, mobile notification fixes, and patched high-severity dependency floors are included.

Existing desktop-data upgrade

  1. Quit Veritas Kanban and make a coherent backup of the desktop workspace.
  2. Install v5.2.5.
  3. Choose Use Existing Data, confirm the displayed counts, then choose Secure Existing Data.
  4. Do not rerun file migration or restore a backup over a database that already contains the expected records.

The onboarding Restore Backup card is picker/preflight only in v5.2.5. Governed bundle imports run from Settings -> Maintenance.

Signed/notarized macOS ARM64 DMG and ZIP assets, blockmaps, update metadata, and SHA-256 sidecars are attached by the Desktop Release workflow.
