Directory Opus 5.104 adds striped rows for name mode listers and rebuilds the translated catalogs. It also makes back-to-back environment loads and screen mode changes safe, stops alpha icons from being drawn twice, and fixes archive browsing and pop-up menus on AROS 64-bit.
Program 5.104, dopus5.library and modules v73.8, commands (DOpusRT5, LoadDB, LoadDOpusLib, ViewFont) v65.6.

Highlights
- Striped rows: name mode listers can draw every second row in a different background colour (#225). Turn it on with Striped Rows in Environment > Lister Display and pick the colour with the new Alternate Rows item in Lister Colours. Selected entries, devices and assigns are not striped. ARexx
dopus set pensanddopus query penstakestripes. Environments saved by older versions load with striping off. - Translated catalogs: the catalogs had the wrong text in a few hundred places per language, such as "_Ok" where "Set source archive bit" belongs, because their string IDs were counted wrongly when they were generated in 2015. They are rebuilt from the original Opus 5.65 catalogs on Aminet (and the 5.8x update for Spanish), matched by string ID, keeping later fixes. Where an old translation no longer fits the current string, Opus shows the English text. The French catalogs now exist once and use string names.
- View sub-menu in the lister status pop-up (click SRCE/DEST/OFF): Name, Icon, Icon Action and Show All. This helps with name mode listers too large to move the pointer outside of.
Fixes
Environments and screen mode changes
- Loading environments one after another (for example from a script) no longer crashes Opus with a Software Failure. Loads now run one at a time, in the order they were started.
- After a screen mode change, OS 3.5 icon images in toolbars and buttons, lister toolbars set with Set Toolbar, and ARexx AppIcons no longer keep pens and remaps on the old screen.
- Closing the display waits for a backdrop picture that is still loading instead of freeing it from under the loader.
- The Environment editor shows the Screen Mode and Sounds lists when it opens on those pages. In some languages one of them is the first page.
Listers and icons
- Icon mode listers draw each icon once, so the soft edges of PNG/alpha icons on RTG screens no longer look different before and after scrolling.
- Redrawing an icon (running a command, selecting icons) no longer draws it over itself or wipes the parts of icons underneath it.
- Lines scrolled into a name mode lister were drawn with the wrong line number, which affected the line being edited and the keyboard selector arrow.
AROS
- 64-bit: opening ZIP, LHA and other archives in a lister no longer crashes, and archive listers can enter folders, open files and close properly.
- Right-clicking a button bank or lister that is not the active window no longer leaves a dead pop-up menu.
- Editing a filetype without an icon, such as ASCII, no longer crashes.
- 64-bit: pointers passed to the configuration editors and modules, GetAttr() results, hook calls and font.prefs values use their full width.
