Your people travel with your photos. Names you give are written beside the picture, together with where in the frame that face is, and names another program put there are read back.

Copy and paste in the editor. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V duplicate a layer or a mask, put the finished picture on the clipboard, and bring an image or a piece of text from another program in as a new layer.

You can look at a mask. Show it on its own as a greyscale image, switch it off for a moment, or give every part of it its own eye.

Masks move between layers. Copy a mask onto another layer or an object, or load its shape as a selection.

A mask is one panel now. Density, feathering, invert and discard sit together and look the same wherever the mask came from. The parts of a mask can be reordered, and how a part combines can be changed after the fact.

Delete empties a selection, out of the marked layer if there is one. The selection stays, so you can fill it next.

Enter and Escape finish a distortion, and Shift and Alt hold a handle while you drag it.

Saved searches find pictures on your Immich server.
Fixes

Opening a picture in the editor says so. A RAW file takes a few seconds, and nothing on screen said it was working, so you clicked again and started it twice.

A place written into the picture wins over the nearest town from the built-in list.

The selection tool stays where it is when you pick a layer, instead of jumping into that layer's tool. The magic wand also keeps to the marked layer.

The footer finds its way back. The status line stayed on "preview is being calculated" for the rest of the session after the first slider move.

A mask made of several parts holds together when you invert or move it.

Undo works during a distortion.

A click on the picture releases the layers you had marked, so deleting or transforming no longer hits layers nobody meant.

View means view. The eye on a thumbnail and View in the menus always open the viewer.

Stars, hearts and colour labels reach the info sidebar right away, wherever you set them.

Photos from Immich show where they were taken.

The overwrite dialog no longer invents numbers for a file that does not exist yet, and says when the file being written is the one you are working on.

Layers say what they are. A layer carrying a mask is called a mask layer or a selection layer now.
