This release makes arranging layers instant, turns the frame into a layer of its own, and corrects a long list of smaller things across gallery, viewer and editor.

Arranging layers is instant now. Moving, rotating and resizing a layer no longer recomputes the picture, so dragging stays smooth even with many layers on a large photo. A layer with a blend mode shows the real result the whole time instead of a plain stand-in, and the exported file is unchanged.

The frame is a layer of its own. It sits in the layer list like a text or a shape, so you can hide it, delete it, tilt it, fade it, give it a gradient, a blend mode, a shadow or a glow. It always stays on the picture edge, and hiding the global adjustments or working inside a selection no longer takes it away.

A frame can be made of symbols. Pick a star, a heart, a drop or one of the other shapes, and the frame is stamped from it instead of drawn as a line. The frame style decides how they are laid out: in a straight row, along a wave, in a zigzag or in two rows. Size, spacing and an outline of their own are yours, and they can either stand upright or turn with the frame.

Arrow keys nudge a layer by exactly one pixel, Shift by ten. A multi-selection moves as a group.

The button that collapses the tool bar moved to the bottom bar, next to the menu button, where it stays in the same place whether the bar is open or collapsed.

A cropped RAW or project file keeps its crop. Clicking a slider or selecting a layer could silently throw it away, and after cropping, the selection frame could sit next to the layers it belonged to and drop them displaced when moved. Both are gone.

Layers behave under distortion. Text set on a circle, an arc or a wave is no longer cut off at its own box, a distorted layer no longer smears copies across the picture, and warp handles can be grabbed even where they lie inside a layer.

Batch dialogs are complete and honest. The buttons for the current and the last used folder are always there, greyed out when there is nothing to offer, and overwriting originals shows the JPG quality it will use instead of picking one silently.

The rotate and flip buttons are bigger and all the same width, and the distort group can be folded away like every other group.

Smaller things. The quick preview covers the whole window and shows project files properly, a crop in the viewer may start beside the picture, a video no longer shows an empty histogram, the stars in the gallery filter menu stay plain, the explanations in the settings are easier to read, and an updated interface framework brings a handful of fixes of its own.
