github BigheadSMZ/Zelda-LA-DX-HD-Updated v1.3.2
Link's Awakening DX HD v1.3.2

This is a patcher to update the v1.0.0 release or v1.1.4+ to v1.3.2.
Visit this link to see a changelog since v1.0.0. To use this patcher:

  • Unzip v1.0.0 of the game or open v1.1.4+ folder.
  • Drop this patcher into the base folder alongside the executable.
  • Open the patcher, hit the "Patch" button.
  • After it is done, close the patcher.

NOTE: It has come to my attention that Windows Defender is being a pain again about the patchers and even the game executable. Rest assured this is a FALSE POSITIVE. All the code for everything is here on GitHub. It's up to you to trust this project. I have been trying for weeks to submit these files to Microsoft's Malware Analysis as false positives, but the service is basically useless. No matter what browser I try to use, what computer I upload it on, it always results in the following message:

image

If anyone wants to try, submit a report here that this is a false positive:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission

Where it asks "Select the Microsoft security product used to scan the file" select:

  • Microsoft Defender Antivirus

For the "Company Name" I usually just use:

  • Bighead Software

No case number. Here you can select a file, select:

  • LADXHD.Patcher.v1.3.2.exe

Where it asks "What do you believe this file is?" select:

  • Incorrectly detected as malware/malicious

As for the Detection name:

  • Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml

Latest for Definition version is:

  • 1.437.193.0

And what I've been trying to use for Additional information:

  • This is just a simple patcher program to update a game to the latest version. It uses xdelta3 patches internally and the xdelta3 program. It does not contain any malicious files or modify any files outside of the game files.

Once it gets past malware analysis, the file is usually then considered "safe" for everyone in the next update. I believe it is hashed and added to some kind of "whitelist", as I've had success in the past for false positives and both Defender and Smart Screen stop freaking out over it. If you do try to submit it to malware analysis, please let me know if you had success. Open an issue, go to the Discussions tab and tell me there, email me, I don't care I'm just extremely annoyed it won't let me submit files so I want to know if anyone else is having trouble.
