The first public beta of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader VR turns Rogue Trader into a VR tabletop experience inspired by Demeo, with full headset tracking, Touch controls, spatial game interfaces, tabletop and first-person perspectives, and English/Spanish help.

Highlights

• Touch gestures for moving, rotating, tilting, and scaling the tabletop.
• Adapted controls for exploration, Ground combat, Space combat, maps, dialogue, and management screens.
• TAA and per-eye DLSS/DLAA options, saved quality profiles, and configurable VR interface layouts.
• Optional experimental frame generation based on OFXR Bridge by tig3rmast3r, disabled by default.
• Simple English installers for VDXR and Meta Quest Link, plus an uninstaller.

Compatibility

Prepared for the Steam edition of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, 64-bit Windows 10/11, DirectX 11, and Meta Quest 3 with Touch controllers. Other headsets, storefronts, and mod combinations have not yet been validated.

Installation

Download and extract W40KRT_VR-0.9.79-beta.zip. Close the game, then run INSTALL-VDXR.cmd or INSTALL-META.cmd. Read the included README.md before the first launch.

Both installers contain the same mod. INSTALL-VDXR.cmd selects Virtual Desktop/VDXR as the initial OpenXR runtime; INSTALL-META.cmd selects Meta Quest Link/Air Link. The runtime can be changed later in the mod settings and requires restarting the game.

Package integrity, both runtime profiles, clean installation, update, reinstall, settings preservation, and removal have passed automated checks. This remains a beta release, and headset behavior and performance can vary with hardware and game settings.
