EShot v4.0.2

v4.0.2 is a small performance update focused on KDE Plasma 6 and Wayland.

Changes

• Greatly reduced the delay between pressing PrintScreen and opening the capture overlay.
• EShot now prepares direct KWin screenshot access when an AppImage starts.
• Avoids launching a new Spectacle process for every capture when direct KWin access is available.
• Keeps the cursor free Spectacle capture path as a safe fallback.
• Added capture latency diagnostics for easier troubleshooting.

The previous capture path could take around 720 to 1160 ms because Spectacle was started for every screenshot. Direct KWin capture now makes repeated captures open significantly faster.

Linux compatibility

The Linux build is currently developed and tested only on KDE Plasma 6 with Wayland, primarily on CachyOS. Other desktop environments and compositors are not supported yet. GNOME support is planned for a future release.
