Nothing changes in how the app looks or behaves. This release is about the app being able to tell us whether it is working for you.
What it now measures
Which windows you open and how you got there, how long the timeline stays open, how many conversations a day actually produces, when you hand a question to Claude from the search bar, and where the setup tutorial loses people.
What it stops getting wrong
- The "active hours" figure had no source at all and was really counting recording start/stop events.
- Searches were being counted per keystroke, so one typed word looked like seven searches.
- The timeline and the main window were reporting under each other's names.
What is still never sent
No transcript, no text from your screen, no window or app names, no URLs, no file paths, no search queries, no email or account id. Every value in an analytics event is a number, a fixed label, or a yes/no — enforced by the compiler, not by review. Your install stays anonymous, and signing in does not change that.
