Breaking changes
- Standalone
modules/subnetandmodules/peeringnow enable telemetry by default and require a non-nulllocationwhen telemetry is enabled. Existing direct callers must supplylocationor explicitly setenable_telemetry = false. The root module passes its existing location to these children. - Enabled telemetry now creates Azure subscription-scope deployments through AzAPI, including for the root module and enabled children. Identities must have the necessary subscription-scope deployment permissions; alternatively disable telemetry. Terraform state forgets legacy ModTM telemetry and telemetry UUID objects without destroying them and tracks the new telemetry deployment resources.
Upgrade considerations
- The Interfaces dependency moves from 0.6.0 to 0.10.0. Role-assignment UUID state addresses and naming behavior remain unchanged. Interfaces also adds an optional
notesproperty to lock payloads; inspect management-lock plans when upgrading. - VNet, subnet, peering, IPAM, and imported-child resource behavior is not intentionally changed. Disposable example changes are not module upgrade requirements.
