Breaking Changes
- AzAPI changes from ~>2.4 to ~>2.12; reconcile older lockfiles with terraform init -upgrade.
- Default-enabled telemetry now manages an empty subscription-scoped Microsoft.Resources/deployments resource using the AzAPI provider's subscription. Grant the deployment identity suitable subscription deployment-management permissions, for example an appropriately scoped role granting Microsoft.Resources/deployments/*, or set enable_telemetry = false before upgrading. Resource-group-only privileges can be insufficient and subscription deployment policy may restrict the operation.
- Telemetry is visible in Azure deployment history and uses a plan timestamp, potentially updating on later applies. Direct modtm/random requirements are removed. removed blocks express intent to forget former telemetry state without destruction, not a verified historical-state upgrade or a guarantee of no replacements.
