2.4.0b2 (2026-10-27)
Features Added
- Preserve original-subject assertions in
PlatformContextand the ambient
request context across streaming and in-process stored Responses execution. - Responses hosts now request the task runtime when either
resilient_backgroundorsteerable_conversationsis enabled. Steering-only
hosts receive persistent queue/cancel behavior; after a crash the interrupted
response is marked failed without re-running its handler, while persisted
queued turns may continue as new steered turns.
Bugs Fixed
- Classify malformed platform attribution headers and end the request span
before returning an error, without invoking the handler. - Bind recovery callbacks and task options to their owning Responses host so
constructing another host cannot redirect recovered work to its handler or
response provider. - Do not recover Responses tasks when both Responses features are disabled,
including when Invocations enables a shared task manager. - Keep eager Responses task registration host-bound so a separate
Invocations-only host cannot recover another host's Responses work.
Breaking Changes
- Responses task-runtime activation is now protocol-scoped. The Core
set_resilient_tasks_enabledswitch no longer force-enables Responses when
both Responses options are disabled, and Responses activation does not
activate another protocol in a mixed host.
Other Changes
- Raised the minimum
azure-ai-agentserver-coredependency to2.3.0b2for
protocol-scoped task-runtime support and original-subject attribution.
Publish that Core version before this package.
