2.3.0 (2026-10-29)

Features Added

  • Add one percent-encoded foundry.original_subject member containing the full
quoted dictionary to custom Foundry baggage for baggage-only model attribution.
The experimental model_attribution_headers helper accepts optional existing
per-call headers, preserving unrelated dimensions without mutating defaults
and replacing or clearing competing subject assertions.

Breaking Changes

  • Removed the internal EXPERIMENTAL_LINK_MESSAGE constant. When using
azure-ai-agentserver-responses, upgrade it to 2.4.0 or later alongside
Core; older Responses compatibility shims require the removed constant.

Bugs Fixed

  • Removed the broken documentation link from experimental API warnings and docstrings.
  • Stop emitting standalone subject headers on outbound model calls while
    preserving platform-to-container ingress parsing.
  • Remove stale subject baggage even when a malformed member has properties before
its value, while preserving unrelated baggage order, encoding, and duplicates.
  • Reject subject tuples over 256 characters and merged baggage over 1024
characters rather than forwarding oversized model-attribution baggage.
  • Place the subject before unrelated baggage so bounded transport normalization
    cannot displace the attribution member.

Other Changes

  • Stable release of the 2.3.0 preview series, including the protocol-scoped task
runtime and recovery protections described in the preview entries below.
