Notification center
- Pull down from the Gear's top bar to open your messages. The drawer follows your finger and settles open when released. Swipe up to close it and return to the same app.
- Browse the last 100 displayed messages for your playthrough, with timestamps in chronological order. The drawer opens at the newest page; use the arrows to browse earlier messages.
- Swipe a message left or right to mark it read and remove it. Other unread messages keep their app's dot, and removed messages stay gone after reloading. Short or cancelled swipes return the card to its place.
- Tap a message to open its installed app. Messages without an installed destination can still be swiped away.
- The drawer respects reduced motion and stays out of battles, native menus and app modals. You can also open it from Settings → Notifications → History.
Highlander compatibility
- Keep Project Highlander's responsive bag surface visible while Gear mirrors the battle bag below. This avoids hiding only part of the external menu's presentation.
Requirements and validation
Requires Gen1Recomp 0.3.93 or newer (mod API 3). Local checks cover notification
storage, individual read state, gestures, interrupted input, page boundaries,
reduced motion and the existing native-menu contracts. Enlarged Gen 1/2 Light
and Dark previews were checked in both Gear skins. The user confirmed the
complete test build on an AYN Thor.
Install
Import kanto_gear-4.6.0.zip through Recomp's Mods menu. The same ZIP works on
Android, Windows and Linux and includes no ROM or save.

exact committed source.
