This update restores the HGSS battle layout in Gear mode and makes the selection highlight follow the controls you actually see.
- Gear uses the large FIGHT button with Bag, Run and Pokémon below. D-pad navigation follows that layout, and upper HP displays remain visible.
- Attack and Pokémon selection show focus matching their companion layout. Gen 1/2 battle summaries also support selecting move details with the D-pad.
- FireRed/LeafGreen use the correct command order, including the active battler’s cursor in double battles. Their companion Party list no longer jumps to the first Pokémon when pressing Left.
- Full Gear continues to move HP displays below. Standard keeps the native menu layout and controls. Unsupported menus keep their native presentation and input.
Requires official Gen1Recomp 0.3.20 or newer. Import kanto_gear-3.3.2.zip and enable it for your game. Existing settings are preserved.
Automated navigation and compatibility checks pass for Gen 1/2, FireRed and LeafGreen. Light/Dark previews were inspected. This package contains the same runtime code as the Thor test ZIP 3.3.2-gear.2.
Asset and font credits and license notices remain included. No new assets are added.
Asset scan: no REJECT findings. The unchanged font atlas retains the scanner's existing review flag; its credits and license are included.
