Choose the touch keyboard layout you are used to, and keep high-resolution character replacements from taking over Kanto Gear's maps.
- QWERTY / QWERTZ keyboard: choose your layout under Settings → Controls → Keyboard. QWERTY is now the default; QWERTZ remains available. Your choice is saved and applies to note titles, text and checklist entries, including uppercase letters. Numbers and special characters remain available in both layouts.
- Correctly sized map characters: large replacement sprite frames now fit the same marker space as ordinary sprites, preserving their proportions and placement. This addresses the oversized character reported with HGSS Overhaul and also applies to other replacements using larger frame dimensions. Standard 16×16 sprites are unchanged. The shared drawing path covers Explorer, map widgets and other companion views that use these markers.
- Original bag icon: replaced the previous bag image, whose source could not be documented, with an original green-and-gold daypack drawn by Kanto Gear. Asset notes and all existing font credits and license notices are included.
The test build passed the Thor check. Automated checks cover keyboard touch input, saved settings, translations, sprite sizing, mirroring and anchoring. Explorer and Home previews were checked in Gen 1/2 Light and Dark. The exact HGSS Overhaul combination still needs confirmation from the original reporter; the large-frame regression was reproduced and tested with controlled fixtures.
Asset check: the unchanged scanner found no prohibited assets. It returned one review flag for a font atlas; that atlas reproduces byte-for-byte from its documented, licensed font source. The scanner result remains FLAGGED, with the false-positive evidence retained.
Import kanto_gear-3.2.10.zip to update. Existing notes and settings are retained; the new keyboard option defaults to QWERTY until you choose another layout.
