Kanto Gear 2.3 — Silver, Right on Time
Silver is no longer just "some Gen 2 game" to Kanto Gear. This release gives
Pokémon Silver its proper Silph Link identity and lets the companion clock
follow the time that actually controls Gen 2 encounters.
Silver joins the link
- Pokémon Silver is now recognized as a first-class supported game.
- Its startup identity uses the correct SLS-SV code.
- Existing Gen 2 maps, party data, Guide, Area, Trainer, Tools and battle views
continue through the same shared path used by Gold—no Silver-only fork or
duplicated UI was added.
Pokémon Silver requires Gen1Recomp 0.2.10 or newer. Using the latest
official release is recommended.
A clock that matches the world
The new CLOCK setting chooses what appears in Kanto Gear's header:
- GAME follows Gold or Silver's in-game clock and is the Gen 2 default;
- SYSTEM keeps using the device clock;
- Gen 1 continues to use the system clock because those games have no world
clock of their own.
That means the time shown beside the Guide now matches Morning, Day and Night
encounters unless you deliberately choose the system clock.
Battle text gets room to breathe
Long battle messages now use the full companion panel instead of being forced
into one clipped line. Capture messages, translated text and other longer
prompts wrap cleanly while short consecutive messages keep their natural order.

Import only kanto_gear-2.3.0.zip unless you also want one of the optional
language packs. Existing settings remain available after updating the mod in
the same host installation.
