Gen1Recomp 0.1.86 compatibility
Kanto Gear now uses Gen1Recomp's official sandbox-safe device power and
date/time APIs. This fixes the Lua startup failure introduced by the Grandma
Kitchen security sandbox while keeping the handheld battery indicator and
clock intact.
This release is matched to
Gen1Recomp Android Test 0.1.86-kanto.13.
Install that APK manually over the existing Android Test app; do not uninstall
it first.

The German and Spanish packages are optional. Import only
kanto_gear-1.8.6.zip unless you specifically want Kanto Gear's own interface
text in one of those languages. The Spanish (Spain) translation was
contributed by Desierto La Espada.
Gen1Recomp now stores mod activation separately for each game. If Kanto Gear
works in Gold but not in Red, Blue or Yellow, open that game's mod list and
enable Kanto Gear there as well.
Verified
- Gen 1 compatibility: 111/111 checks passed.
- Gen 2 compatibility: 23/23 checks passed.
- German integration: 7/7 checks passed; 281 catalog entries checked.
- Spanish integration: 7/7 checks passed; all 281 catalog entries and
129 possible move-description lines were checked for compact UI fit. - All three ZIPs use portable archive paths. Kanto Gear and German match release
commit3ffbaf9; Spanish matches translation commit9461608. - The exact matched
0.1.86-kanto.13host and Kanto Gear runtime were confirmed on an AYN Thor in Red and Gold, including the Oak intro path.
This remains an unofficial Android public test release. Keep an exported save
backup. No ROM, ROM-extracted asset or save data is included.
