If you were redirected here by the updater and are using versions 10.3 and older
Auto Dark Mode changed its update system starting with 10.4.
You may use the migration installer which you can find here:
https://github.com/AutoDarkMode/AutoDarkModeVersion/releases/tag/10.4_migration
Alternatively, you can manually download the ADM.zip file attached below and extract its contents to your installation directory.
If you installed Auto Dark Mode in all users mode
When installing Auto Dark Mode in "all-users" mode, you will not be able to use the update system, as it requires write permission.
Installing Auto Dark Mode with administrator privileges puts the executable in a folder that can only be managed by installers. Therefore, instead of the updater being able to get the latest version, you will be redirected here!
If you want to participate in beta builds at current, please install Auto Dark Mode using the recommended installation mode.
Alternatively, you can uninstall your current Auto Dark Mode version and:
- Download the .zip found here and extract it to a location of your choice that has write permissions.
The .zip file contains a fully portable self-contained version of Auto Dark Mode. - Download Auto Dark Mode from the Windows 11 store
