๐Ÿงช Beta Release v3.0.0-beta.194

This is a prerelease/beta build, tagged :next (never :latest). It is not installed by docker compose pull on a stable install.

What's new since beta.179

A Discord bot, built in

Auto Tournament now comes with its own Discord bot. It's an add-on: turn it on under Modules โ†’ Discord bot, paste your bot's token, invite it, and click Set up this server.

  • Each match gets a private voice channel per team. Players already in voice are moved in, everyone else gets a DM with the link. The channels go a few minutes after the match.
  • Each team gets a role in its team colour and a private text channel while the tournament runs.
  • Ready, live and result cards in #results, with @team pings and a Go to match button.
  • A Lobby voice channel where players wait (they can listen, not talk), and a DM at tournament start asking them to join it.
  • DMs for "your match is ready" and "your turn in the veto", sent only when the player isn't on the site.
  • /matches, /mymatch and /setup. They work over the bot's own connection, so no public URL is needed.
  • Setup is safe to run again: it reuses what it made and shows a checklist.

Add-on modules

Modules lists add-ons next to games. Each one is turned on and off while the platform runs, and has its own page.

Friends and direct messages

  • Write to a friend from their profile (Message) or from the chat dock, which now lists your friends who are online.
  • A new notification, Messages from friends: a push or Discord DM when you're away, once until you read it.

Match times

  • Fill in every round's start time from a first time and a step ("every 60 minutes").
  • Set one match's time straight from the bracket: Set times on Manage โ€บ Bracket.
  • An upcoming match's card on the bracket shows when it starts.
  • The setup summary says about how long the tournament takes, and the live line on the tournament page says when it should end.

Simulation

  • Simulated matches now get stats and highlight clips: each bot plays under its roster player's name (Ready Up beta.75), and its clips say Simulated player.

Fixes

  • A later round waiting for its server lists both teams and the team size in the match room.
  • A player can only play for one team per tournament.
  • Recorders retry an upload while the platform restarts, and fail a clip whose kills are past the demo's end instead of cutting it short.
  • The champion's final in double elimination is the grand final.
  • Team, player and tournament names are links across results, standings, profiles and Manage.
  • Admin notices of one kind stack, and each one opens a page that says what happened and what to do.

Changelog

  • feat(highlights): clips from a simulated match say "Simulated player" (#1221)
  • feat(highlights): a simulated match's bots play as the roster players (#1220)
  • test(chat): the unfriend call sends JSON, as the site does (#1222)
