Migration and breaking changes

  • TOML configuration: Conf/config.json and Conf/login.json are replaced by config.toml and login.toml.
  • extra_args → args: a service's persistent CLI options now live under the args key of its login.toml section.
  • New binary layout: managed executables move from <binary_dir>/<tool> to <binary_dir>/tools/<tool> (Windows: C:\binary\VibraVid\tools; Linux/macOS: .../binary/VibraVid/tools). CDMs go in wvd/ and prd/; .wvd/.prd files left in the old flat directory are still found, executables are not.
  • --down-json replaced by --import, fed by files created with the new --export.
  • --drm no longer accepts auto: valid values are widevine/playready (aliases wv/pr).
  • Removed DEFAULT.debug_track_json, REQUESTS.bypasser_url and DRM.prefer_remote_cdm.
  • Removed the built-in services 7movies, discovery, dmax, foodnetwork, homegardentv, nove, monochrome and realtime (merged into aurora).
  • Removed the Amazon provider, the Docker bypasser sidecar and the --amazon-music-login / --amazon-music-logout flags.

Core

Downloader and pipeline

  • New --export / --import flow: resolves tracks and keys and writes a JSON file (default .cache/export/<site>_<type>_<title>.json).
  • New DownloadFailed exception: errors already explained on screen no longer print a traceback.
  • More robust temporary-directory cleanup: rename to a .trash-<pid>-<id> folder, detached deletion, Windows long-path handling (\\?\), retries on read-only/locked files, sweeping leftovers from previous runs and handling Job objects that terminate child processes.

DRM

  • Unified CDM selection with precedence --cdm → service cdm in login.toml → [DRM] cdm in config.toml.
  • Per-quality rules (min_height / max_height), with the CDM chosen based on the highest selected video resolution; search performs automatic file discovery and default delegates to the next level.
  • Support for multiple named remote CDMs in [DRM.remote_cdm], with type, security level and system detected automatically.

Muxing and subtitles

  • Automatic font embedding for ASS/SSA subtitles: system fonts (Windows registry, fc-list on Linux, macOS folders) and a fallback pool, attached with both ffmpeg and mkvmerge.
  • Chapters clamped to the actual media duration; the last chapter ends with the file instead of staying open.
  • HDR/DV detection shared between DASH/HLS parsers, and the dv_auto filter also applied to streams not explicitly flagged as DV.

Services

Removed

  • discovery, dmax, foodnetwork, homegardentv, nove
  • realtime (renamed and expanded into aurora)

CLI

  • --export [FILE] and --import FILE instead of --down-json.
  • Automatic update of managed binaries every 2 days (auto_update_binaries), with backup and rollback on failed downloads.

TUI

  • Manual track selection with a video/audio/subtitle modal.
  • Settings: service and login.toml credential management, with "configured / needs setup" status and notes for CDM, args and cookies.
  • Refresh of external imp_service services from the TUI too.
  • ServiceExit: a service's sys.exit() becomes an error message instead of closing the app.

GUI

  • Built-in config.toml and login.toml editor with server-side TOML validation and .backup file.
  • Structured edits that preserve comments and the rest of the file (e.g. the ARR section and per-service args).
  • System page: hidden-service list, config/login editor, external repository refresh.
  • The update banner honors auto_check_update.

Setup, build and dependencies

  • New VibraVid/tools, VibraVid/wvd, VibraVid/prd layout; configurable CDM directories.
  • Docker: removed the bypasser sidecar, updated paths to config.toml, added VIBRAVID_HIDDEN_SITES.
  • Telegram bot updated to the TOML configuration.
