37th release includes new and updated Windhawk mods, refreshed and recompiled WinMac menu, new keyboard shortcuts known from macOS and Linux, updated Action Center, File Explorer and System Settings styles, new set of cursors and a lot of QOL changes.

What's Changed

• Windhawk changes:
  • Windows 11 Start Menu Styler mod - improves System Settings looks, incl. removal of Home page and changing the pill shaped search box to a rectangle shaped one introduced in latest Windows 11 update, more info here
  • Custom Shutdown dialog mod - default shutdown dialog is now replaced by modernized version with buttons instead of drop-down list
  • Remove Command Bar mod - removes Windows 7 command bar in File Explorer (disabled by default)
  • updated Windows 11 Notification Center Styler mod with Action Center style adapted to taskbar placement
  • updated Windows 11 File Explorer Styler to enforce Mica blur on WinMac modern and Windows 11 default File Explorer command bar

  • rewrote executable in C for faster response time and built separate ARM native executable
  • replaced Programs and Features option with Windows 11 native Apps and Features

• Keyboard Shortcuts changes:
  • Alt+Backspace acts as a Delete key, similar to how it works on macOS
  • Ctrl+H to hide/show hidden files in File Explorer, similar to how it works in various Linux distributions
  • changed default maximize shortcut to Win+Enter
  • changed default minimize shortcut to Win+M
• disabled PowerToys Thumbnail Icon preview for svg in File Explorer add-ons, and replaced it with ThioJoe's SvgThumbnailExtension
• changed PowerToys Peek default activation shortcut to Alt+Shift+Space to not interfere with apps triggered with Alt+Space like Copilot, ChatGPT and etc. (Spacebar trigger introduced with v1.1.0 is not impacted)
• updated StartAllBack tray icons settings to show Windows 11 flyouts by default
• new set of modern cursors for both light and dark mode
• added SecureUXTheme installation to support custom themes
• disabled tray icons for PowerToys, Everything, Nexus Dock and Windhawk
• adapted Theme Switcher to apply custom themes
• Winstep introduced with Nexus Dock v25.6 a shortcut known from Windows to show full context menu of dock items (right mouse click on icon when holding shift)
• Winstep introduced with Nexus Dock v25.7 a possibility to show system tray icons in dock

What's Fixed

• Open-Shell installation file blocked from running on Windows 11
• Nexus Dock context menu was hard to read on darker backgrounds when Light theme was selected
• WinverUWP installation failing because of dependencies

Updated additional utilities with Battery Flyout, to replace current battery tray icon, which doesn't show battery flyout by default, as it was deprecated in Windows 11 24H2.
