Note
These files are for new installations. If Aster Bridge is already installed, it updates automatically.
This release includes all of the changes from 1.0.9.
What's new
- When a mail app signs in to Aster Bridge without TLS, Aster Bridge warns you and explains how to turn on TLS in that app.
- If another app already uses one of the Aster Bridge ports, Aster Bridge tells you which port is taken and how to choose a different one.
Fixed
- On macOS, you can now add Aster Bridge to the built-in mail app. Previously the app reported the Aster Bridge certificate as invalid and didn't offer to trust it.
- Messages to Aster users at a custom domain are now sealed end to end, including when they're the only recipients in Bcc.
- Messages that claim to come from an Aster address but weren't sent through Aster Mail, and attachments the sender didn't sign, are now marked as unverified.
- Post-quantum sends now require a signed key from every recipient, and accepting a contact's new key never lowers the protection you had with that contact. If you turn on Require post-quantum protection for Aster recipients and a message includes an outside recipient, Aster Bridge stops the send and tells you why.
- Signing out now waits for imports, moves, and background syncs to finish, and then removes all local mail data, including old copies of the mail database.
- Connections that stall before signing in now close on their own, so they can't block your mail app from connecting.
- Sign-in and send errors now explain in plain language what went wrong and what to do next.
