Standing Order Gates (#28)
Structured anti-pattern gates at three workflow phases, contributed by @LannyRipple:
- Formation Gate: 5-question checklist before squadron finalization (becalmed-fleet, light-squadron, all-hands-on-deck, crew-without-canvas, skeleton-crew)
- Battle Plan Gate: 4-question checklist before task assignments (split-keel, captain-at-the-capstan, unclassified-engagement, press-ganged-navigator)
- Quarterdeck standing order scan: Runtime scan of 5 orders at each checkpoint with immediate corrective action
- Idle notification rule: Immediate ship stand-down when task complete and no pending dependencies
- New standing order:
light-squadron.md— prevents under-splitting tasks onto fewer captains than independence warrants - Team sizing philosophy: Shifted from tier-based (small/medium/large) to independence-based (one captain per independent work unit)
